#9 – Tim Westerfield Jr. Modified Feature
Opening Day at Midvale Speedway was a chance for a fresh start for every team that rolled in that day. But unfortunately for many of the modified division teams, it would also be their first chance to fix some sheet metal. Spins and hard racing led to contact and carnage, including two examples from Tim Westerfield Jr.’s Ride Along camera. All drivers were OK in both incidents.

VIDEOS: Spin & Win, Wreck & Win at Lake County
After weeks of rain-outs and a vacation, NEO Racing News finally has some new Ride ALong footage to share with you. Friday Night at Lake County Speedway was Youth Explosion Night, and I was able to get six videos from five cars!
#82 Tyler Turner wrecked in his Legend car in Heat #1, but managed to come back for the feature and win the whole thing. #77 Richie Kuhn and #22 Keith Platz also carried cameras during the night. In fact, Kuhn’s video feature his first Heat win…which happened after getting spun on the last lap. VIDEOS: Shootout by the Shore Now Available
Three extended-distance Feature races were held at Lake County Speedway on Sunday. In total, Econo Mods, Factory Fours, and Pro Stocks ran 225 laps around the Painesville, OH 1/5 mile oval. NEO Racing News had Ride Along cameras on three drivers: #37 T.J. Stineman (Econo Mod), #2 Jeff Bates (Factory Four), and #5 Chris Hamilton (Pro Stock). VIDEOS: Ride Along with Mods, Late Models, Compacts, and Skid Plate Racers
With three ride-along cameras deployed at Midvale, NEO Racing News captured a lot of action.
Wes Ennis took several rides during the Compact features, but still finished third. Jesse Adams also did a few donuts during the track’s 60 lap Econo Mod feature. In fact, all three of our ride-along cars spun or were spun during Saturday night’s racing action. This includes Late Model Don harvey and Skid Plate racer Brent Shreffler.
