Lake Erie Speedway will be featuring 14 weeks of racing in 2013 starting Memorial Day weekend.
The track will be hosting five weekly divisions of racing and three regional touring series throughout the summer. The track previously announced that there would be no weekly Late Model division, so the the Modified drivers will take the spotlight. Other classes of racing include Street Stocks, Compacts, US Legend Cars, and INEX Bandoleros.
Erie, PA will have four featured race nights thanks to visits from regional touring series. Casy’s TQ Midget series returns for 2013 with two dates on June 8th and August 17th. Making their first visit to LES will be the Must See Racing Super Modifieds, scheduled for July 20th. Also visiting for the first time is the USAC Midwest Ignite Midget Series on August 24th.
Completing the calendar will be the US Legend Car Asphalt Nationals between September 12th and 15th. The event is being run for the 22nd time, but has not been held at LES since 2005. According to the track’s press release, the four-day racing weekend could feature as many as 200 competitors across four classes.
