#35 “Champagne Stock” driver Ron Miller throws his car sideways in turns one and two at Sandusky Speedway. Miller would go on to win the feature.
More than 20 cars showed up to a snowy, slick Sandusky Speedway for the 34th Annual “Wild Bill” Hangover Race on January 1st, 2014. The gathering celebrates the first racing action of 2014 in Ohio.
#35 Ron Miller won the open rule “Champagne Stock” feature in his dirt late model with a sideboard for extra grip in the turns. #48 Jason St. John won the “Whiskey Stock” feature after spinning out the leader in turn four. The two drivers had been battling side-by-side during the final lap of the race in the front wheel drive division. #62 Curt Dickie won the “Moonshine Stock” feature, which saw the most lead changes of the three races. Within the last five laps (not counting cautions), the two cars leading the race spun off track in separate incidents. This was Curt’s first feature win.
